Envisioning the Workforce of 2015

2011 Annual Retreat – November 13-14, 2011

Kevin Wheeler leads the opening discussion at the 2010 Retreat.

Please join us at our 7th Annual Future of Talent Retreat:  Innovation Summit 2011

If you are engaged in talent leadership– recruiting, learning, performance – you may be a candidate for future of Talent’s Innovation Summit.  This is our 7th annual retreat and this year talent leaders across the board are facing extreme challenges.  The Future of Talent community prides itself on being ahead of the changes that are disrupting many organizations.  We hear from the experts about the trends then put our heads together about how to leverage external forces instead of trying to fight them.

Past attendees have included senior leaders and HR visionaries from Fortune 500, Global 100, and medium sized companies from the United States, Australia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Dubai, and Singapore.

Some of our areas of focus:

  • New frames and tools for talent and learning leadership: You are inundated with social media, visuals, and electronic tools for recruiting, training and just about everything else.  Why do you (and everyone else) feel overwhelmed instead of supported by all of this multi-media communication?   We will hold speed-learning sessions with experts in all these areas to equip you to leverage technology so that you are more productive and innovative — and can inspire your organization to be as well.

  • They can’t be bought: Building and Retaining great talent: Organizations are losing top talent to smaller companies and sole proprietorships as innovative candidates are becoming more entrepreneurial. How can organizations identify these people, and provide them with the development, engagement and incentives they need to bring innovation to your company instead of their own?  We’ll hear directly from these people
  • Social Media for Recruiting and Learning: How to integrate it into everything you do. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare and other tools have transformed recruiting and learning. By taking advantage of these tools you can reach new audiences and engage employees and candidates at a deeper level.

  • Talent Communities: Can you really have a virtual community that makes both recruiting and learning more effective? We will explore both emerging models of face-to-face communities,  virtual ones, and a blended approach.

  • Survey Results:  Trends in talent. Results of our 2011 survey of talent leaders revealing how organizations are functioning right now.  What are the trends in integrating acquisition, development and performance management?

Our focus is engagement, participation and hands-on learning. Our faculty works to foster interaction and engages you in deep conversation with other talent leaders.
