Envisioning the Workforce of 2015

About the Future of Talent Annual Retreat

Retreat Overview

Once each year we hold a two-day Retreat designed to provide insights into emerging talent-related trends as well as to engage our attendees in conversation and discussion around important and often controversial talent topics. This is the place where we introduce our latest research and newest white papers, giving attendees a significant lead over others in planning for the implications of new trends.

Kevin kicks off each Retreat with the Institute’s latest talent forecast for the coming year.

Every Retreat is unique and is held in a private setting, limited to about 25 people, all senior level  talent leaders. The Retreats are usually held in California, somewhere near the coast, and attract talent leaders from all over the globe. Each Retreat is captured in graphics by our skilled graphic journalist and Research Director, Eileen Clegg, and copies of her work are available to members.

We have had participants from Australia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Dubai, and Singapore.

The conversations are led by faculty members who act as catalysts for discussion and provide a unique set of experiences and insight. Because of the limited number of participants, everyone has the opportunity to bring their own problems and issues for the group to discuss and provide possible suggestions.

The Retreats also provide a forum for new technologies to showcase their outputs and illustrate the newest thinking in human resource software applications and social media.

This year’s Future of Talent Retreat will be held on November 13-14, 2011, at Chaminade, Santa Cruz.
